True Story

I had been working at Butlins holiday camp for a few months now and was fortunate in as much as I had the most coveted position behind the bar. The time had just reached 2:45 am so I collected 1/4 of my tips for the evening, a crate of 24 bottles of Kronenbourg lager and proceeded to make my way back to my chalet. One of the perks of this job was that I had my own chalet as opposed to the shared rooms most staff had to tolerate. I smiled at my good fortune as I staggered back, a little worse the wear for having drunk too much wine.

I felt safe enough though as despite the late hour Butlins was always well lit and I had never heard any unsettling stories. The cool night air forced me to examine my senses and I realized they were somewhat diminished, I would indeed be glad to get back.

I recall staggering through the door, placing the alcohol upon the floor and flopping straight onto my bed, fully clothed.

Unaware as to how much time had passed I forced my eyelids open as something didn’t feel right! All I could make out was a blurred silhouette of a figure immediately above me. Then, as I wakened fully I became acutely aware of what was happening, I could feel the thrusting of flesh upon my own, the force against my groin and realized I was being raped.

I didn’t move a muscle, partly due to delayed senses through the consumption of too much alcohol and partly due to incredulity. For what must have been another 15 minutes I simply lay there stupidly, allowing this rapist to do as they pleased with me.

Eventually I felt a change in rythym followed by a familiar warm wetness that I presumed it would be over soon. Site enough they climbed off me and whilst doing so I recognized their face, another member of staff !

When they left I locked the door and showered before grabbing one of the drinks I had brought back from work and settling down in an armchair.

So many thoughts ran through my mind that night although not one of them was reporting the crime to the police!

THE END

I would like to invite any readers to opine as to the reason/s it was not reported.
